Act Three Matt Black Quote Interpretation Act Three Romeo and Juliet
“O, think’st thou we shall ever meet again?”
- (Juliet 3, V)
In this quote Juliet is asking Romeo if they will ever meet again due to his crime of killing Tybalt. Since Romeo was dueling against Tybalt, his actions have caused him to be banished from Verona from the order from the prince. When Romeo later meets up with Juliet they talk about what had happened and Juliet has the hate for him but still wants to be with him. This is why Juliet wants to know if they’ll ever be with each other again.
This relates to today and how our entire world is changing in its actions of others and similar crimes to this. It has changed from being banished from your town or city to becoming killed by another person or getting put in jail/prison. Romeo was lucky for his punishment and later on in the story he’ll find his true punishment for what he has done.
Two Dead and One Banished
Disturbance before our crowd was held the other day between a dispute of the Capulet’s and Montague’s. Witnesses say they first saw Mercutio and Benvolio Montague walking along the streets having a casual walk talking amongst each other. As they were walking along they ran into Tybalt Capulet. Tybalt wanted to acknowledge where Romeo was to settle a dispute between him and Romeo.
Unfortunately Mercutio and Benvolio didn’t know where Romeo was so they couldn’t tell Tybalt exactly where he was. As soon as they ended their conversation, Romeo came onto the scene. “Tybalt wanted to have a duel with Romeo but Romeo told him off by telling him there was no reason to duel and kept on walking”, a gentlemen said. Tybalt was furious to hear this from Romeo so he made Mercutio fight to lure Romeo into fighting.
Mercutio and Benvolio knew this was a bad idea but they needed to settle this once and for all. So Mercutio and Tybalt dueled, but in the end Tybalt killed Mercutio. Then the coward, Tybalt, ran off. Benvolio was able to tell Romeo a little of what happened after the fight. Romeo wanted to seek revenge on his arch enemy Tybalt. Tybalt eventually came back for Romeo. In his mind set he was thinking this was going to be easier this time then fighting Mercutio.
Around this time we had witnesses all over the town because of the rumors of the fights between the Capulets and Montagues. Romeo and Tybalt got into this duel hard, and this wasn’t going to end easy. Romeo ended up killing Tybalt. He ran off to get to safety from the Prince. When the Prince heard about the feud between the three he was upset for his cousins’ death (Tybalt Capulet). The Prince heard about Romeo being involved, and was informed he was running. As a result, the Prince banished Romeo from Verona.
How long will these two families disturb the peace of this town? Will the families ever become friends? We’ll never know, and hopefully the Prince won’t settle it himself or it’s going to be a long cold, harsh ending for both the Capulets and Montegues.

Quote Interpretation Act 4
Romeo and Juliet
“Death lies on her like an untimely frost upon the sweetest flower of all the field.”
- (Capulet 4, V)
In this quote by Capulet, he thinks that his daughter is dead. We as the readers understand that the friar gave her a potion to make her look dead, so when the potion runs off she will be able to be with Romeo. The potion is supposed to last for two days and she’ll wake up in a tomb where Romeo and she meet up. When the Capulets’ first find out that there daughter was dead the friar came in and tried to calm them down. Well it’s dramatic irony because we know what went wrong and everyone else did not.
It relates to life because you can’t trust anyone in the world today without knowing what their history has been like. As you find out, mostly everything anyone does has a plan behind it. This relates to Juliet’s situation.
